June coaching clinics a massive success
Ajax Cape Town’s Community Scheme Co-ordinator Riyaad Khan has re-affirmed just how important it is to educate the youth and highlighted the huge success of the Urban Warriors’ coaching clinics in June
More than 100 kids, between the ages of 6-15, both boys and girls, attended the clinics which were held for four days during the school holidays.
Moreover, the holiday clinic draws youngsters from as far as Hermanus which shows how important they are to the community and the parents.
“The holiday clinics have been a success and we must give thanks to the parents for bringing their kids,” said Khan.
“The purpose of these clinics is to introduce these kids to the Ajax way of playing and the drills that we teach them are modelled to the Ajax way of playing.
“These kids come from different backgrounds, religion and races but through the love of football they come together to make friends for life. Hopefully the parents will bring the kids to the games so they can have the full experience.”
The holiday clinics will continue to take place every school holidays at Ikamva and they are open to everyone.
