Spurs secure vital point against Rise & Shine

As a keenly anticipated Motsepe Foundation Championship fixture on the 2022/23 calendar, Cape Town Spurs secured a vital point in a 0-0 draw against log leaders Polokwane City this weekend. 

The Urban Warriors made their way to Polokwane on Saturday, where they faced Rise and Shine who currently occupy first spot on the Motsepe Foundation Championship table. 

On the back of a three match winning streak, Spurs faced arguably their toughest test yet as they continue to seek a promotion spot on the log. 

However, neither side were able to break the deadlock throughout the 90 minute as the two sides shared the spoils in a tough 0-0 stalemate at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. The Urban Warriors remain three points behind Rise and Shine at the moment.
