Bartlet reacts to unfortunate Arrows defeat
Following a 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday night, coach Shaun Bartlett touched on the positives from the encounter.
While the Urban Warriors often dominated Arrows throughout the game, two second-half goals saw the visitors bag maximum points after the final whistle was blown.
Reflecting on the result, Barlett mentioned that while the performances have been good, putting the ball into the back of the net has been the only issue this season.
“It’s very difficult to grasp [because] out of the five games, we probably didn’t deserve to get the result we ended up with,”Bartlett said.
“And again, maybe we didn’t work hard enough in order to get the result. When we were 1-0 up, we could have buried the game with a little bit more forward-thinking, aggression and energy [but] we tended to slow down the pace of the game.
“I think that’s sometimes to our detriment because we’ve got a lot of speed in our team, a lot of the players with the skillful abilities. The only thing that’s missing is the final product.”
