Urban Warriors draw with AmaZulu

Cape Town Spurs walked away with a point in their latest DStv Premiership outing against AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening. The Urban Warriors took advantage of their opponents struggling to find the back of the net in the first half.

The goal from CT Spurs was scored by youngster Luke Baartman, who headed in a corner right towards the end of half time. The goal showed capitalisation in terms of set pieces from the away side.

The second half saw Cape Town Spurs grow in terms of confidence in charging for the goal, however they were not able to convert their chances. AmaZulu eventually picked up momentum towards the end of the match and scored in the 79th minute through Celimpilo Ngema.

The remaining stages of the match saw both teams try to make an effort to score the winning goal but it was not to be and they had to share the spoils. The result sees Cape Town Spurs remain in 16th on the DStv Premiership log after taking home a point against the KZN side.
