Spurs aim to keep up unbeaten run against Lions

In their next Motsepe Foundation Championship match, Cape Town Spurs will go up against Hungry Lions at the Athlone Stadium next Monday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

The fixture was set to be played on Friday, however it was moved due to stadium unavailability because of the Betway Premiership fixture between Stellenbosch and Golden Arrows.

With three matches already played, Spurs are currently sixth in the MFC standings with five points out of a possible nine as they continue their pursuit of returning to the top-flight.

The Urban Warriors have won one match, and drawn their other two past fixtures in the league.

During the course of the week, the Urban Warriors said goodbye to Chumani Butsaka, who joined Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership.

Hungry Lions are placed eighth on the log, with a tally of four points. They’ve won, drawn and lost one fixture in the National First Division.
