The well-travelled forward had spells with Vasco Da Gama, FN Rangers and Hellenic in the lower divisions in the Western Cape at the start of his career.
Barrote went on to turn out for Fontainhas de Cascais, Estoril Praia and Nova Nacional in Portugal.
He joined Cape Town Spurs at the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
