The left-back started his professional career at Mbombela United in 2015 with the Mpumalanga side campaigning in the National First Division at the time.
Stander was snapped up by Cape Town Spurs in 2019 and he helped the Urban Warriors secure promotion back to the PSL Premiership in 2023.
