New Ajax talent

Ajax Cape Town have concluded the First Touch program which ran through the year to discover the new under 12 juniors for the new season. The First Touch Program runs from May until November where the teams come to compete and the young players are selected to become the new intake of Urban Warriors

The FTP has scouts/coaches from all over Cape Town scouting talent then inviting them to their training season in their local area. The idea of the Ikamva cup which is hosted at the end of the year is to isolate potential Ajax Talent. Each scout brings their team to Ikamva for a day full of football and nerves as each boy tries to show off their best skill to make it into the Ajax academy.

Ajax Cape Town have used the first touch program for years and so far it has proven to be a fantastic conveyer belt of talent for the young Urban Warriors squad. Good luck to all the participates in the Ikamva cup at the end of the season.
