Mokate has unfinished Premiership business
Mohau Mokate has unfinished business in South Africa’s top-flight and hopes to make his mark in the division sooner rather than later.
The 29-year-old joined Ajax Cape Town earlier this season and has played his part in helping the Urban Warriors to the top of the GladAfrica Championship standings.
Ajax Cape Town currently sit seven points clear atop the standings with six matches remaining and are in pole position to gain automatic promotion back to the Premiership.
“I just want to play in the Premiership again. I really feel like I didn’t reach my targets there, so I want to finish what I started.
“It’s not just my individual dream, it’s our goal as the team. We’re all working on making sure that Ajax gain promotion,” Mokate told the Sowetan.
The 2019/20 season is currently on hold due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which halted football across the county and enforced a nationwide lockdown in March.
