Urban Warriors save the day

In the spirit of humanity and kindness, Cape Town Spurs stars Collin Ryan, Therlo Moosa, Morne Nel and Ashley Cupido recently helped a young woman in distress and guided her back home safely. 

After having an awkward breakdown on one of Mitchell’s Plain’s most dangerous roadways, a young woman by the name of Candice van der Ross was approached by the Urban Warriors who showcased their eagerness to help. 

Van der Ross, who mentioned that before she could call anyone for help, the Urban Warriors stopped by and asked if she needed assistance. 

Working together in assembling the scraping exhaust on the hot tar, the Urban Warriors managed to help the young lady as she safely made her way back home. 

In a word of thanks, van der Ross took to her Facebook account and said, “Thank you for caring enough to stop. Thank you for stopping long enough to help.

“And thank you for helping me get back to my family safely. 

“Thank you for looking after your community and leading by example.

“God bless and keep shining.”
