Morton aims for successful January period

Cape Town Spurs midfielder Michael Morton has urged his teammates to end the month of January on a high as the club continues to bid for a promotion finish. 

The Urban Warriors have a busy January schedule, which includes four home games in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. 

Having lost to Casric Stars in their most recent league game, the club will continue to push for a strong end to January, as said by Morton.

“January is a big month for us, if we can put ourselves in the mix come the end of Jan, it bodes well for the rest of the season,” Morton said.

“We have like six, seven league games so it can really change the outcome of the season if we have a good month.

“We’ll be giving it everything we have, we’ve had a nice break where we had the opportunity to work on a bunch of things.

“We are looking to hit 2023 with full force and hopefully we can put ourselves in the mix at the end of the season.”
