Urban Warriors get back to winning ways

Cape Town Spurs returned to winning ways in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, following a 1-0 win against Magesi on Sunday afternoon. 

In bouncing back from their narrow 1-0 defeat to Casric Stars in their previous league encounter, coach Shaun Bartlett and his troops made sure to collect maximum points at the Athlone Stadium on Sunday. 

The ever-present Jarrod Moroole  popped in the 58th minute to provide the only goal of the game, as Spurs recorded their third win in five matches in the league. 

As the Urban Warriors continue to push on for PSL promotion, the victory leaves Spurs in 7th spot, amassing 21 points in 13 games.
