Moroole eyes third spot in Uthongathi clash
In facing Uthongathi in their latest Motsepe Foundation Championship clash, Cape Town Spurs vice-captain Jarrod Moroole has said that the Urban Warriors are looking to make their way up the league table.
Spurs go into the tie on the back of a 1-0 win over Magesi, as coach Shaun Bartlett and his troops recorded their fifth straight victory at home.
The Spurs mentor previously mentioned that the club intends to make the most of home ground advantage, especially during the month of January. Also, the Urban Warriors will look to get one over Uthongathi, a side that beat Spurs at Athlone Stadium last season.
Speaking ahead of the tie, club vice-captain Jarrod Moroole reiterated the need to gain maximum points against Uthongathi, at home.
“Playing Uthongathi, our first time playing against them this season,” Moroole said.
“Last season, we lost against them at home. Going into that game, they took points away from us on our home ground.
“So we want to keep those points going into this game on Wednesday and our team is looking good this far.
“We have a chance to go into third place, we just have to keep on pushing, keep going and keep working hard as a team.”
