Aden Dreyer is a South African professional footballer who plays for Cape Town Spurs in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Joining the team in May 2021, Dreyer has now cemented himself as coach Ernst Middendorp’s preferred starting goalkeeper as the team continue their fight in the second-tier.
The former Amajimbos (SA U/17) player captained Cape Town Spurs’ reserve team in the DStv Diski Challenge.
Dreyer worked his way up and was promoted to the first team in the 2024/25 season after his impressive displays for the academy teams.
In August of 2023, the South African goalkeeper caught the eye of European football when he underwent an assessment at Swedish Allsvenskan team Hammarby IF.
He was part of the South Africa U/20 team in 2018 which travelled to Sweden to participate in the Gothia Cup.
Dreyer has also been touted as a future senior national team goalkeeper because of his talent between the sticks.
