Urban Warriors share spoils with Stallions in MFC
Cape Town Spurs fought back to draw 2-2 with Milford at the Athlone Stadium in a Motsepe Foundation Championship clash on Friday evening.
Mthetheleli Mthiyane opened the scoring for the Stallions in the first half and it was his first goal for the club in the 40th minute. The Urban Warriors went into the half-time break a goal behind.
Siphosethu Ndlabi doubled the lead for Milford in the early stages of the second half at the 54 minute mark. Khaya Mfecane pulled one back for Spurs three minutes later and reduced the deficit.
Therlo Moosa levelled matters for the Urban Warriors by heading home a cross from Angus Moss and the scoreline was 2-2 in the 77th minute, making the final stages of the match a nail-biter.
The match would end with both teams level and sharing the spoils in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
