Baartman’s strike earns Spurs a point in Leruma clash
Cape Town Spurs drew 1-1 with Leruma United in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the Athlone Stadium on Friday evening.
A late equaliser scored by Luke Baartman in the 85th minute saw the Urban Warriors earn a point, in an encounter which was crucial to get the team out of the danger zone.
Leruma opened the scoring in the 69th minute, however the home team worked hard to fight back to get something out of the game.
The away team are placed 16th as it stands, and Spurs remain in 14th place, however have earned a crucial point and are now unbeaten in their last three league games in the MFC.
