Urban Warriors aim to outplay Sporting in Kabokweni
Ajax Cape Town will be hoping to register their third win of the 2018-19 National First Division (NFD) season with victory away to TS Sporting in Kabokweni this Saturday. Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.
Urban Warriors head coach Muhsin Ertugral spoke to ajaxct.co.za ahead of the clash in the Mpumalanga province this weekend:
Coach, how has the international break impacted the club?
“The international break brought three injuries, which is very negative because we worked really hard to get to the point in which we find ourselves now. It is very unfortunate, I would rather have another game wrapped up under our belt.”
What can we expect from our opponents, TS Sporting?
“You hear a lot of positives from them, they have very high technical football team. They will come out strong against us, they will be motivated by playing against Ajax Cape Town, one of the well known teams in the country so we do not expect an easy game. I hear its hot out there so we are prepared, our organization is good, but of course the NFD has its own rules.”
What is your thoughts on the trip, a flight to Johannesburg followed by a long bus drive!
“That is not an issue, the major issue is for us to be focused, obviously we are going for the three points. We need to continue with our momentum and try not to get a draw, the game has its own rules, but at the end of the day we want to win the game.”
What have you been impressed with so far this season?
“The team is actually more balanced, the defensive line has been very good. We do not allow shots at the goal, we are very organized in our defensive approach, we should score more goals – that has been our main problem that we have had and that is our primary objective going forward, to score more.”
