Further technical changes announced at Ajax Cape Town
Hans Vonk has taken over the role of “Head of Football” after Mich D’Avray vacated his position at Ajax Cape Town this morning. Vonk will, in addition to taking D’Avray’s portfolio, also retain the position of “Head of Youth” until the end of the 2018-2019 season.
After two and a half years with Ajax Cape Town, D’Avray decided, on his return from a short visit to Australia, to end his spell at the Urban Warriors, citing his reasons as personal.
Ajax Cape Town would like to thank Mich for his valuable insight during his time at the club and wish him all the success in his next football venture.
“Mich’s experience, loyalty and commitment to Ajax Cape Town will be missed, but I am 100% sure he will be a huge asset to any organisation,” commented CEO Ari Efstathiou.
Mich D’Avray added: “I am disappointed in leaving Ajax Cape Town, but I am very confident that this present squad of players are good enough to win promotion to the Absa Premiership. All that is required is a couple of wins to lift the confidence of the players.”
