Daniels: 39 and still going strong
With 20 years of professional football under his belt, Clayton Daniels will once again be an important figure for Cape Town Spurs in the 2023/24 campaign.
In returning home for the 2022/23 season, Daniels swiftly cemented his place in coach Shaun Bartlett’s side as a leader, mentor and defensive stalwart in the heart of the Urban Warriors backline.
Daniels recently extended his stay with the club and will be on board for the new campaign as Spurs return to the PSL. ‘Hare’ as he is affectionately known, celebrated his 39th birthday earlier this month, which will make him one of the oldest players currently in the South African game.
As a player with legendary status at Ikamva and South African football, we salute Daniels for his Spartan-like effect on the team.
