Urban Warriors suffer defeat to Arrows
Despite a valiant effort from the Urban Warriors, Cape Town Spurs suffered a 2-1 defeat to Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday night.
Following a good start in tough conditions at the Athlone Stadium, Spurs applied pressure early on, while defending numerous attacks from the travelling side.
As a positive, Ashley Cupido opened his account for the 2023/24 season after he broke the deadlock in the 16th minute with a header from close range.
Arrows managed to turn their fortunes around courtesy of a brace by Lungelo Nguse in the second-half.
