Urban Warriors concede at the death against Polokwane City

Cape Town Spurs were defeated 1-0 against Polokwane City in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday evening at the Athlone Stadium. The result put a significant dent in the hopes of the team finishing in the play-off position.

A stoppage time own goal unfortunately caused the team to lose out on a share of the points, as the ball unfortunately came off Rushwin Dortley in the 93rd minute as Rise and Shine sealed their victory.

With four games to go, the Urban Warriors are still rooted at the bottom of the league standings, despite picking up three points in their last match.

Cape Town Spurs will play against Royal AM next in the league, on the 7th of May at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
