Middendorp speaks about remaining with Urban Warriors

Following the announcement that Ernst Middendorp is going to remain the coach of Cape Town Spurs, the tactician opened up about the latest developments.

”I bought into the vision of the club from day one. The picture that the board put in front of me, really excited me and we had started implementing the plans with the intention of building on this in the new season,” Middendorp said.

When Middendorp started the job in December, the team picked up in form and started getting more points in the DStv Premiership. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be enough to save the team from automatic relegation but the vision was clear on how the team improved. 

“I am happy to say that we can now continue from where we left off and deliver, together with the board, the club that we all envisage to see one day attaining its rightful place in SA football,” he concluded.

Now with the team shifting their focus into the Motsepe Foundation Championship, it hopefully won’t be too long until the Urban Warriors find themselves back in the top-flight.
