Ernst Middendorp is a German professional football coach who is currently the head coach of Cape Town Spurs.

Middendorp has vast experience, having coached football clubs in Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania, China, Iran and Cyprus.

Prior to being a coach, he was a lecturer of economics, political science and informatics at vocational colleges. In 1996, Middendorp obtained his UEFA Pro License.

Middendorp has nearly two decades of experience coaching professional football at the highest level across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

He has also worked as an analyst for major tournaments, including the FIFA World Cups in 2006 and 2010, and the UEFA Euro 2012.

He joined Cape Town Spurs at the end of last year, and has been at the helm ever since with the task to guide the team back into the top-flight.
