No nonsense Middendorp only seeks improvement

Cape Town Spurs head coach Ernst Middendorp previously stated that there are many coaches in South Africa who “talk nonsense”, while all he wants is to improve his players.

“There are a lot of people here in the coaching area, a number of so-called coaches that they just talk, they just talk nonsense, they talk something invaluable,” said Middendorp.

“It’s not what we used to do from the technical side, we just try to design, try to find technically correct players, here and there change a little bit from the system side, the reference point, very crucial but it’s all about improvement.

“Every training session you should work on getting better and to improve.”

The Urban Warriors now have a task on their hands to collect all three points in the Motsepe Foundation Championship when they take on Casric Stars at the Athlone Stadium on Friday 10 January. 

The team has not picked up a win in the last five league games and currently placed 14th, it’s imperative that they begin to improve.
