Spurs eye winning reset against JDR Stars
After featuring in the Nedbank Cup last time out, Cape Town Spurs will now turn their attention to JDR Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Urban Warriors gave a good account of themselves in the Nedbank Cup last time out and suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against PSL giants SuperSport United at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on the 12th of February.
With the score level at 1-1 until the 119th minute, Lebohang Maboe’s late strike separated the two sides in a hotly contested tie in Pretoria.
Now though, the Urban Warriors will look to return to winning ways in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this week in yet another trip to South Africa’s capital.
Spurs last tasted victory on the 10th of January where they bagged a 1-0 win against Casric Stars on home soil and recorded two draws and one defeat since then.
