Spurs earn a point on the road
Cape Town Spurs bagged a point in their latest Motsepe Foundation Championship assignment following a 0-0 draw with JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Urban Warriors produced valiant efforts in Pretoria during the last couple of weeks, namely against SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup and then, JDR Stars in the league.
However, it was not to be for Spurs at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium this weekend as the Warriors battled to make the most of their scoring chances on away soil.
As a positive, coach Ernst Middendorp and his charges managed to keep their first clean sheet in the league since the 10th of January.
The Urban Warriors will now turn their attention to Highbury in the next Motsepe Foundation Championship assignment, with the game set to take place on the 28th of February at the popular Athlone Stadium.
