Spurs hit 15 goals against Avondale ahead of EKC

Cape Town Spurs displayed their sheer dominance ahead of the eagerly anticipated 2025 Engen Knockout Challenge.

The Urban Warriors were in action in the Coca Cola Amateur Cup this past weekend as they took on Avondale in the Round of 256. 

Spurs’ under-18 side secured an emphatic 15-1 victory over a hapless Avondale team and they progressed to the Round of 128.

The Ikamva-based team will now turn their attention to the Western Cape leg of the Engen Knockout Challenge.

The national tournament is scheduled to take place at the Erica Park Sports Ground in Belhar between 27 and 29 June. 

Spurs are in Group A, where they lock horns with Rock A Fellas, Everton FC, and Juventus AFC as the four teams battle for spots in the knockout phase. 

The winners of the tournament will represent the Western Cape at the Engen Champs of Champs later this year.
