Spurs reach Bayview Youth Tournament semis

Unbeaten Cape Town Spurs have booked their spot in the semi-finals of the 2025 Bayview Youth Tournament.

The Urban Warriors claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Central in a quarter-final encounter played at the Strandfontein Sports Ground in Cape Town.

It was a match that saw Emmanuel Kaba display his scoring ability as the teenager hit the back of the net twice to inspire the Urban Warriors to a victory.

Spurs had reached the quarter-finals after securing a 2-0 victory over Wanderers courtesy of goals from Lincoln Daniels and Somila Mbawula in the Round of 16.

The team was ruthless in the group stage of the under-16 tournament, as they overcame R2CT 3-1, before defeating Oriental Gunners 7-1 and claiming a 4-0 win over Blue Bells. 

Spurs are scheduled to take on Newmans FC in a semi-final encounter on Thursday, July 3.
