Spurs dominate Hanover Park

Cape Town Spurs were in action in the Cape Town Tygerberg LFA (CTTLFA), a development league, as they took on Hanover Park at Downberg Road.

The Urban Warriors secured a 5-1 victory over Hanover in the under-12s match, before emerging as 6-1 winners in the under-14s game.

However, Hanover bounced back with a narrow 4-3 victory over Spurs in the under-16s match ahead of the eagerly anticipated under-18s encounter.

Captain Alistair Frans (brace) and Ashtin Roberts were on the score sheet as Spurs claimed a 3-1 win over Hanover, with all matches being played on Saturday.

On Sunday, Spurs’ under-18 side were in action once again as they faced their Rygersdal FC counterparts in the CTTLFA Knockout Cup quarter-finals.

It was a match which saw the Urban Warriors claim an emphatic 5-0 victory with inspirational skipper Alistair Frans making it three goals in two matches.

Emile Dortley, Likhona Fatyela, Fagan Van Der Vint and Hlumani Lupuwana were also on the scoresheet.
