Spurs edge De Beers to clinch Kapstadt crown

Cape Town Spurs were crowned champions at the 2025 Kapstadt Cup after outsmarting De Beers FC in the final this past weekend.  

The Urban Warriors emerged as 4-2 winners over De Beers to clinch the under-14 tournament at the Athlone Stadium on Sunday.

Coach Masibulele Tshangisa Sukaze’s side had reached the final after hammering Hamitons FC 5-0 in the semi-finals on Saturday.

The road to the final started in Group B, which featured strong teams such as De Beers, Antalyaspor JPM CT and Julinho Athletic.

All eyes will be on Spurs’ under-18 side this weekend as they take on their Everton FC counterparts in the 2025 SAFA Cape Town Coca Cola Amateur Cup final

The match is scheduled to be played at the Athlone Stadium on October 18. Kick-off is at 13h00 SA Time.
