Van Der Vint reveals ‘unforgettable experience’ with Spurs

Cape Town Spurs starlet Fagan Van Der Vint has reflected on his success with the club’s under-18 team.

The promising player helped the Urban Warriors clinch the 2025 Coca-Cola Amateur Cup as one of the team’s key players.

Van Der Vint hit the back of the net as Spurs thrashed FN Rangers St Agnes in the Round of 16 and they went on to lift the trophy after overcoming Everton FC in the final.

“Being crowned Coke Under-18 Champion is an unforgettable experience; it’s more than just a title, it’s a memory that stays with you forever,” he told Football Culture.

The teenager also revealed that “I felt in love when playing football at the age of 8, when I started my football journey.”

 When asked where he sees himself in the next five years as a soccer player, he said, “I leave it in God’s hands.”

The sky is the limit for Van Der Vint as he continues his development as a footballer in the Spurs academy under top youth coaches.
