Spurs make it back-to-back wins at Vasco

Cape Town Spurs secured their second consecutive victory in the ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A on Wednesday.

The Urban Warriors registered a convincing 3-1 win over local rivals, Vasco Da Gama, in the Parow Derby at Parow Park.

Under coach Nasief Morris, the Urban Warriors produced a strong performance to claim the three points in this heated local encounter, marking their first back-to-back league wins of the 2025/26 season.

This follows their maiden victory of 2026, a narrow 1-0 success against Junction Rovers, after resuming their league campaign with a 1-1 draw with Santos FC.

The win over Vasco has lifted Spurs to fifth place in the Western Cape Stream A standings, now boasting 12 points from eight matches as they continue to close the gap on the leading pack in the title race.

Next up for the Urban Warriors is a crucial home clash against Hanover Park at Ikamva on Saturday.

A win over Hanover could propel Spurs further up the table and keep their championship ambitions firmly in sight amid the competitive division.
