Spurs look to stretch winning run at HBUFC

Cape Town Spurs are aiming to stretch their impressive winning run to four matches in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A this Saturday.

They travel to take on Hout Bay United Football Community (HBUFC) at the Hout Bay Sports Complex, with kick-off scheduled for 13:00.

Last weekend, Spurs produced a resilient come-from-behind performance to secure a 2-1 victory over Hanover Park at Ikamva, maintaining their momentum under coach Nasief Morris.

This result marked their third straight win in the local third-tier competition.

Currently sitting in fifth place in Stream A, the Urban Warriors have collected 15 points from nine matches.

A victory against HBUFC could propel them as high as third in the standings, provided fourth-placed Hanover Park slips up against league leaders FN Rangers on the same day.

HBUFC, meanwhile, enter the clash in strong form after a convincing 3-0 home win over Junction Rovers at Heideveld Sports Grounds last weekend.

They occupy third position in the table, also with 17 points from nine outings, showcasing solid defensive and attacking play in recent weeks.

This Saturday’s encounter marks the first-ever competitive meeting between Spurs and HBUFC.
