In-form Spurs eye double over Inter

Cape Town Spurs are aiming to complete a league double over Inter City FFC in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A this Saturday.

The Urban Warriors travel to face Inter City at the Wynberg Military Base in matchday 13, with kick-off set for 15:00.

Spurs head into the clash full of confidence after securing back-to-back victories, including a hard-fought 1-0 win over Inter City at home last weekend.

That result – a stoppage-time thriller – extended the coach Nasief Morris-led side’s positive momentum and kept their promotion push firmly on course.

The victory lifted Spurs to 21 points from 12 matches, placing them in strong contention near the top of the Western Cape Stream A standings.

A win over Inter would further strengthen the Urban Warriors’ bid to top the division and secure promotion aspirations.

Inter, on the other hand, are desperate to halt their slide after consecutive losses – including to HBUFC and now Spurs – leaving them on 11 points from 12 games.

 The team from the Southern Suburbs’ main focus remains on avoiding the drop zone and easing relegation concerns.

This Saturday’s fixture represents only the second competitive encounter between the two sides this season, following Spurs’ recent narrow home success.
