Spurs seal third straight win at City’s expense

Cape Town Spurs secured their third consecutive victory in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A on Saturday.

The Urban Warriors claimed a gritty 1-0 away triumph over Inter City FFC on matchday 13 at Wynberg Military Base in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs.

Spurs produced a disciplined and determined performance in a closely fought contest, completing a league double over their opponents this season.

This latest result pushes them to 24 points from 13 matches, placing them fourth in the standings—just two points adrift of leaders HBUFC, who hold a game in hand.

Under coach Nasief Morris, Spurs continue to build momentum in their bid to climb the table and challenge for promotion from South Africa’s third tier.

Next up, the Urban Warriors face a mouthwatering local derby as they renew hostilities with fellow former PSL side Vasco Da Gama.  

The clash is scheduled for this Saturday at Ikamva, with kick-off set for 14:00 and we expect a passionate encounter between these historic Cape Town clubs.
