Red-hot Spurs complete double over Vasco in Parow Derby

Cape Town Spurs secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over local rivals CR Vasco da Gama in the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League Western Cape Stream A on Saturday.

The Urban Warriors claimed all three points in the highly anticipated Parow Derby on matchday 13 at Ikamva, completing a league double over their fellow former PSL side this season.

The win marked Spurs’ fourth consecutive victory in the third tier, keeping their promotion push firmly on track under coach Nasief Morris.

The victory also lifted the Urban Warriors to third place in Stream A with 27 points from 14 matches.

The Western Cape giants now sit just two points behind leaders HBU FC (who have a game in hand) and are level on points with second-placed Hanover Park.

Spurs will have the opportunity to go top of the table next week when they host HBU FC at their Ikamva fortress on Tuesday, 1 April.
