Spurs suffer defeat against Zizwe

While Cape Town Spurs remain hopeful of promotion from the ABC Motsepe League this season, the Urban Warriors suffered an unfortunate 1-0 loss against Zizwe United at the Nyanga Stadium this past Saturday.

The result saw Spurs remain in fourth position on 30 points after 16 games played, three points behind log leaders Bout Bay United, following their 1-1 stalemate with second-placed Hanover Park on Saturday.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Spurs were unable to move on from their 2-0 loss against First National Rangers in the prior fixture.

The Urban Warriors will now shift their attention to Young Bafana this coming weekend, with the game set to commence at Ikamva on Saturday, 25 April.

Spurs last tasted victory against Young Bafana on 1 March 2025, where they recorded a 1-0 victory on away soil.
