Spurs Stumble As Seaside Claim Victory

Cape Town Spurs’ promotion hopes took a hit on Saturday when Seaside Spurs beat them 2-0 in a Western Cape Stream A clash.

The Urban Warriors, desperate for maximum points, lost at Ikamva, significantly weakening their chances of finishing in the top two.

Nasief Morris’ men remain in fourth position with 40 points.

Spurs now trail leaders Hope FC by six points, and the league frontrunners still have a game in hand. 

The Urban Warriors are also four points behind second-placed Hanover Park, who likewise have an extra fixture to play.

With just two league matches remaining, the pressure is now firmly on the Urban Warriors.

Spurs must win both remaining games to keep their slim promotion dreams alive and at least end what has been a challenging season on a positive note.
