Spurs bow out of Nedbank Cup Round of 24

With the 2026/27 ABC Motsepe League on the horizon, Cape Town Spurs suffered an unfortunate 2-1 loss against Maties FC in the Nedbank Cup Round of 24 at Ikamva on Sunday.

The Urban Warriors played at a cold Ikamva this weekend as our opponents emerged victorious amid a valiant effort from the team.

Despite the loss, the young warriors gained much-needed experience from the cup competition as we build toward the 2026/27 ABC Motsepe League campaign.

The fixture also marked the return of coach Roger De Sa, whose experience will be invaluable in the chase for promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

While De Sa will be focused on doing well in the ABC Motsepe League team, the club’s reserve side will compete in HollywoodBets League, which will be under the watchful eye of Duncan Crowie.
