Boebie Solomons wants Ajax to be a dominant force in football
Boebie Solomons, who is a well-known coach in the South African football fraternity, is back in the elite league with the 62-year-old has joining our Ajax Cape Town technical team for the 2017/2018 season as an assistant coach to Coach Stanley Menzo.
Coach Solomons has vast experience in football which will come in handy in ensuring our Urban Warriors does well in the coming season.
“I am happy to be back in top flight football after being in the National First Division for some years and what a way to be back, with an ambitious team like Ajax Cape Town,” said Coach Solomons.
The Cape Town-born coach will be working as an assistant to Menzo, something he is really excited about.
“I’m looking forward to working with Coach Menzo,” added Solomons. “We will make sure we bring back the glory days to Ikamva.”
Pre-season started on Monday and Solomons has highlighted the importance of setting a good foundation for a great 2017/2018 campaign.
“The spirit amongst the players for the past three days has been great as everyone is eager to give 100% which is important,” continued the coach.
“The aim for the season for the technical team is to work hard in ensuring that the team competes for silverware and make sure we become a dominant force again in South African football.”
