Urban Warriors welcome Ke Yona graduate to Ikamva
Ajax Cape Town have welcomed Njabulo Xulu to Ikamva, as part of the Nedbank Ke Yona initiative.
The 2017 Nedbank Ke Yona Team graduate will spend a month on trial with the Urban Warriors.
During this time he will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of SuperSport United utility player Aubrey Modiba, in landing a professional contract with a Premier Soccer League (PSL) club.
Xulu, 23, is from Empangeni in the KwaZulu-Natal province. The right-back has been welcomed with open arms by the club and now hopes to do enough over coming weeks to impressive head coach Stanley Menzo and his technical team.
“I have enjoyed myself here, it has been a privilege to meet all these ‘big’ players,” said Xulu. “It is a good experience and I hope I can sign a contract with the club because I love this team.
“Nedbank got me here, I gained more experience through the initiative and I am here today because of them. I want to say thank you a lot to Nedbank and I am hoping to improve as a player over the next few weeks.
“Everyone has been kind to me and welcomed me with open arms. My dream is to be a professional footballer one day and I am sure this opportunity will help me a lot,” Xulu concluded.
