Spurs promote Linamandla Mchilizeli to the club’s first team
Cape Town Spurs is delighted to announce that Linamandla Mchilizeli has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Urban Warriors youth graduate has been at Ikamva since the age of 11 and will be vying for a place in Dylan Deane’s starting XI this season.
“I have been waiting for this moment and finally it has arrived. I am really grateful,” Mchilizeli said this week.
“I love this club. It feels great. I will be patient, I will wait for my chance and when the team needs me I need to step up. I will have to fight for my place, there are a lot of talented players in this team. When the time comes I will need to play my part,” he added.
The talented midfielder has represented South Africa at youth level and joins a proud list of players to graduate from the club’s youth structures onto professional football.
Spurs kick-off their 2021/22 GladAfrica Championship campaign at home to Venda Football Academy (formerly Cape United) on Sunday the 22nd of August at Athlone Stadium.
