Spurs suffer defeat against Sekhukhune United

Cape Town Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup on Friday evening, as the DStv Premiership side advanced to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.

In what was a tough evening for the Urban Warriors at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, goals from Victor Letsoalo and Roderick Kabwe were enough to see the home side advance to the last eight of the popular competition.

Reflecting on the game, coach Shaun Bartlett mentioned that his players gave a good account of themselves on the night.

“I think we gave a good account of ourselves,” Bartlett said.

“If I have to be honest, we kept our structure for most part of the game but the two individual errors in my opinion gave them the goals

“I think we did fairly well up until then, we didn’t utilise the ball as much as we wanted, we didn’t put four or five passes together.”
