Bartlett: We only get what we work for

Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett has reiterated the need to keep digging deep during a crucial phase of the 2022/23 Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign.

The Urban Warriors suffered an unfortunate 2-0 defeat against JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant stadium on Sunday afternoon but remain on course for a PSL promotion place in the league.

Spurs currently occupy third spot on the table, three points behind log leaders Casric Stars. That said, Bartlett mentioned that grinding for positive results will be vital in reaching the desired mandates.

“We’ve over emphasized in the last couple of months to the players, we only get what we work for and not what we deserve,” Bartlett said.

“Nobody’s going to give us anything.”
