H2H – Cape Town Spurs vs Casric Stars

Heading into a crucial phase of the season, Cape Town Spurs will square off against Casric Stars in the first PSL Promotion clash, which is set to take place this Sunday.

After securing second place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship during the 2022/23 campaign, the Urban Warriors will now battle it out against Casric Stars and Maritzburg United in the round robin mini-tournament.

That said, Casric Stars got the better of Spurs in the first meeting between the two sides back in January, with Thabang Rakwena scoring the only goal in the game in a 1-0 win at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

However, Spurs bagged maximum points in the return fixture, which took place at the Athlone Stadium last month. 

Goals from Therlo Moosa and Boitumelo Radiopane were enough for the Urban Warriors to secure three crucial points in a 2-0 victory.

Sunday’s clash will commence at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, kick-off is at 3pm.
