Bartlett: ‘Our priority is to play with confidence’
Cape Town Spurs mentor Shaun Bartlett has urged his Urban Warriors outfit to play with confidence going into the PSL Promotion play-offs.
Spurs will take on Casric Stars in their first PSL Promotion play-off fixture, with the game set to take place at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday. (Kick-off is at 3pm)
Speaking ahead of the tie, Bartlett expects a tough game against Casric Stars but feels that his side should not be overwhelmed by the occasion.
“Following the disappointment of not getting automatic promotion, it’s been hard to pick ourselves up,” Bartlett said.
“We’ve got another opportunity now through the play-offs. We’ve got to shift our focus now again and increase the level of concentration.
“We have to make sure we start playing the football that we got into this position in the first place. I think it’s important that we shouldn’t be overwhelmed by the occasion or any game but to just do the basics like we have done for the last 30 games.
“We know the four games against Martizburg and Casric won’t be easy but we are well capable of handling any situation.
“Our priority this Sunday against Casric is to play with full confidence and believe that we can go to them and get a result.”
