Cape Town Spurs are back at home this week with coach Shaun Bartlett and his team preparing to take on Chippa United in the DStv Premiership at the Athlone Stadium on Friday evening.
The Urban Warriors go into the next game on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Polokwane City, with the hope of getting back to winning ways.
Reflecting on the defeat, Bartlett reiterated the need to bounce back after a slow start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign.
“We have to find a reaction next Friday at home against Chippa. Obviously not the ideal way we would have wanted to start the DStv Premiership,” Bartlett said.
“But I think it’s also a wake-up call for our boys. In order to compete at a higher level you have to also increase your capacity. So we have to learn from this, again a couple of individual errors from us.”
