Bartlett on ‘massive’ tie against Swallows
Cape Town Spurs will travel to the Dobsonville Stadium this week, as they turn their attention to Moroka Swallows in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening.
The Urban Warriors are currently winless in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign after four matches played, however, Bartlett and company remain positive as the season begins to gather steam.
“The start to the DStv Premiership has not been ideal as a team, as a club,” Bartlett said.
“We were hoping to have some points on the board by now but it’s been tough in general for everybody, in adjusting to the elite level of football of this country
“Our players got a rude awakening on what it’s actually about in playing in the DStv Premiership. We achieved our goal of promotion but now it’s about stabilizing and sustaining our status in the DStv Premiership.
“We have a massive game against Moroka Swallows and for us it’s about nothing else but points from that game. We’ve been pleased with our performances from the last two games but unfortunately nothing to show for it, it’s the small margins that will make the massive difference.”
