Spurs suffer defeat in Soweto
In an unfortunate result on the road this week, Cape Town Spurs suffered a 3-1 loss to Moroka Swallows in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday night.
The Urban Warriors suffered an early setback as Tshegofatso Mabasa put the host side ahead in the 2nd minute. Mabasa then doubled his side’s advantage in the 7th minute despite Spurs’ attempts at getting their names on the scoresheet.
Therlo Moosa then popped up in the 23rd minute and pulled one back for the Warriors as Shaun Bartlett’s charges began dominating play midway through the first-half.
Nevertheless, the Dube Birds scored a third goal shortly before the break as Gabadinho Mhango added his name to the goal scorers list in the 46th minute.
