Urban Warriors look to regain form against AmaZulu

Cape Town Spurs are set to take on KZN outfit AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership on Saturday at the Athlone Stadium. Kick off is at 17:30 CAT.

The Urban Warriors find themselves at the bottom of the standings on four points, but there is still hope to pick up form once again and make a team effort to keep their PSL status.

AmaZulu are in eighth place in the league and before going into the Africa Cup of Nations break, the team was on a high after beating rivals Royal AM 3-0.

Cape Town Spurs unfortunately suffered a 2-0 defeat to their neighbours Cape Town City before the break, but will be looking forward to a more positive result against AmaZulu.

On Wednesday, the Urban Warriors named Chumani Butsaka as their captain for the second half of the 2023/24 season. Butsaka played a crucial role in the team’s promotion to the DStv Premiership and was also part of the Bafana Bafana squad that participated in the COSAFA Cup in 2022.
